Last weekend, Don's big kids came to visit. Rachel arrived Friday evening, and Reid, Emily, Omar, and Sophia came on Saturday. Sarah had a ball with Big Sister Rachel on Saturday before everyone else got here. We went fishing on the M*ssissippi River in the morning -- not even a nibble, but it was a beautiful day.

Saturday night, we had a fish fry and a campfire in the backyard. Sarah and Sophia played together nicely (as opposed to playing alongside each other or fighting over toys) for the first time. They really seemed to enjoy one another. Sunday morning, they spent about half an hour playing in Sarah's bed before breakfast.
Everyone else went fishing Sunday morning, while Rachel, Sarah, and I stayed home.
We all hung out in the yard in the afternoon, then it was time for everyone to head home.

Sarah loved having her family here. She did really well with everyone, but, in typical fashion, was ultra-controlling and stubborn with me. That seems to be her way of coping with overstimulation. After spending a couple of quiet days at home, she's more even-keeled and relaxed again. When my sister and her family visit in a couple of weeks, I think it will be important to make sure Sarah gets some breaks throughout the day, if possible...for both of our sakes.
